It starts with us...

Recently while doing some research for a project on the signs and effects of global warming, I found that it is actually a much greater issue than we could ever have imagined. Most of us are living in a world of our own where we do not even think of global warming in our day to day lives. It is something we have heard about, but never actually listened. It is term we know of, but don't quite understand.

Yet these past few weeks of reading up on the topic, have opened my eyes to what we are doing to this world of ours. It lead to me finding something I am truly passionate about. Just stop for a moment and think about it. Each day on the roads, do you see the puffs of exhaust being released from just one vehicle? Imagine if one vehicle could release so much smoke in such a short time, how much would all the vehicles in the world be releasing into the atmosphere collectively. Mind you, this is not considering the clouds and clouds of thick black smoke that's being released by factories around the world too.

All this smoke and exhaust is not just harmful to ourselves and all living beings, but it also rises up into our atmospheres and slowly but steadily destroys the Earth's ozone layer that protects all of us from the sun's harmful rays.

This is but a drop in the ocean of all the harm that we are doing to the Earth we live in. And if we don't change our ways soon, we are headed straight on the path to disaster. We must start now, to alter this path that we as humans have set for the world, to change it for the better... For it's our home...
And right now... It is all we've got....
